Infosys will now continue to utilize highly innovative technologies such as Big Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and Cloud among others, to enhance the Australian Open experience for fans, players, coaches, partners, and media alike.
Building on a successful three-year collaboration, the partnership will concentrate on four pivotal areas:
Revolutionizing Broadcast Statistics
Starting from the Australian Open in 2022, Infosys will introduce innovative statistics to engage tennis aficionados all over the world. Not only will these new insights provide a refreshing perspective on the game, but among the data points will be pressure point metrics, early set-break player performance, and historical records made during the tournament.
Innovative Solutions for Fans, Players, and Media
In conjunction with Tennis Australia, Infosys will move towards innovative digital solutions for Australian Open stakeholders. Through the enhancement of the Infosys Tennis Platform, the mobile app will gain match center features allowing fans a virtual feel of the court and exploration of data from their favorite matches. AI coaching videos targeted at players and coaches for strategy formation, while AI Shot of the Day will capture the cherished moments of the matches.
Advancing the Digital Experience Vision
Spearheading digital experience vision for the Australian Open for at least a decade. It is on a full design audit of a fan’s digital trail through the tournament to seek growth opportunities while putting the fan at the heart of the experience.
Promoting Inclusivity and Accessibility
The initiatives that focus on digital education and inclusivity will become part of the collaboration by Infosys Springboard as a way of helping under-represented communities and thereby effecting a positive impact on grassroots tennis in the region.
Andrew Groth, Executive Vice President of Infosys, expressed excitement about the extended partnership, claiming that digital innovation is now a means to present this sport in a more accessible and inclusive manner in Australia and New Zealand.
Craig Tiley, CEO of Tennis Australia and Tournament Director of the Australian Open, highlighted the continuing journey of innovation and the commitment to changing how the global audiences engage with the Australian Open and tennis in general.
