Infosys, a prominent name in digital services and consulting, has reaffirmed its commitment to the ATP Tour by extending their digital innovation partnership until 2026. This renewed collaboration will harness Infosys’ prowess in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Cloud technologies to elevate both the fan experience and player performance in the realm of professional tennis.
Since its inception in 2015, the partnership has been a cornerstone of digital transformation within the ATP. Notable achievements include the overhaul of the ATP PlayerZone intranet portal, the introduction of the ATP Tour fan app, and the integration of AI-driven capabilities via Infosys Topaz in the ATP Stats Center. These initiatives have significantly boosted engagement, with the stats section of the ATP website witnessing a 50% annual increase in traffic and generating over 5.7 million digital interactions from fans worldwide.
Looking ahead, Infosys and ATP are set to unveil new AI-powered innovations aimed at further personalizing experiences for both players and fans. The partnership has also made significant strides in sustainability through the ATP Carbon Tracker, a tool designed to monitor and offset the carbon footprint of players. In 2023, more than 200 ATP players utilized this platform, tracking 6.55 million kilometers of travel, thereby contributing to ATP’s ambitious goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2040.
Daniele Sano, ATP’s Chief Business Officer, expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed partnership, underscoring Infosys’ pivotal role in driving digital innovations and promoting sustainability. He highlighted the ATP Carbon Tracker’s impact in inspiring greener choices and anticipates further advancements in the digital landscape of men’s professional tennis over the next three years.
Sumit Virmani, Executive Vice President & Global Chief Marketing Officer at Infosys, emphasized the partnership’s importance in Infosys’ global brand strategy. He noted the shared vision with ATP to enhance digital experiences for all stakeholders in the tennis ecosystem while supporting sustainability objectives. Virmani expressed excitement about the forthcoming phase of AI-driven innovations powered by Infosys Topaz.
Beyond its collaboration with ATP, Infosys has cemented its presence in the tennis world as the official Digital Innovation Partner for prestigious events such as the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, and the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Tennis legends Rafael Nadal and Iga Świątek also serve as brand ambassadors for Infosys, further solidifying its influence in the sport.
