Infosys, a prominent name in digital services and consulting, has announced the extension of its partnership with Roland-Garros, ensuring their collaboration continues until 2026. As the Official Digital Innovation Partner, Infosys is set to further transform the technological framework of this iconic tennis tournament held in Paris.
Since the inception of their partnership, Infosys and Roland-Garros have significantly enhanced the tennis experience by integrating cutting-edge technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and analytics. This collaboration has introduced advanced video and statistical analysis tools for players and coaches, improved match analysis for broadcasters, and innovative fan engagement strategies, including a 3D art museum that celebrates the tournament’s rich history.
Strategic Focus Areas
The renewed agreement brings new dimensions to the partnership, focusing on broadcast and technological advancements, alongside launching a social inclusion initiative at RG 2022. The collaboration will target four primary areas:
Driving Digital Innovations
The Infosys Tennis Platform will continue to deliver comprehensive data and insights to fans, players, coaches, journalists, and broadcasters. Tools such as the Infosys Match Center, Players Portal, and AI-Assisted Journalism will leverage sophisticated AI to provide immersive and predictive analytics.
Enhancing Broadcast Experiences
Infosys plans to introduce “Infosys Stats Flash,” a feature designed to offer new statistical insights during live matches, thereby enriching the viewer’s experience with real-time data on player performance.
Venturing into the Metaverse
Building on previous innovations like Social VR and the 3D Art Museum, future projects will explore mixed reality experiences and immersive digital platforms, further expanding the digital universe of Roland-Garros.
Empowering Future Generations
In partnership with the French Tennis Federation (FFT), Infosys will launch a STEM program through the Infosys Springboard initiative. This program aims to inspire young children in France to delve into STEM education through the lens of tennis.
