Serena Williams: Fitness Journey and GLP-1 Transformation

Serena Williams is proudly showcasing her transformed physique, captivating fans with her latest fitness endeavors. The legendary tennis star, who announced in 2025 her use of the GLP-1 weight-loss medication Ro, recently shared an impressive TikTok video on February 12, highlighting her strength and agility in a gym setting.

In the video, Williams confidently ascends a stripper pole, flaunting her toned abs and athletic form in a white sports bra and matching shorts. She effortlessly pulls herself up, momentarily suspending her body with extended legs, before transitioning to an aerial yoga swing to stretch and continue her workout routine. Accompanied by a bounce remix of Beyoncé’s “Check On It,” Williams captioned the video, “I’m back to training on my 2 favorite devices.”

The post quickly garnered admiration from fans. One supporter commented, “Me watching at home happy for your glow!” Another added, “Serena can do anything she wants with her natural body looking like this!” Despite a few critics questioning her motives with comments like “training for what exactly” and “Girl what are you doing!” the overwhelming support led to speculation about a potential return to tennis for the 23-time Grand Slam champion.

Embracing the Journey

Serena Williams has been candid about her weight loss journey with the GLP-1 medication Ro. In early 2025, she announced her partnership with Ro, becoming a celebrity patient ambassador in a multi-year campaign. After the birth of her children, Williams sought additional support to achieve her health goals when diet and rigorous training alone were insufficient. The GLP-1 treatment, along with clinical care and ongoing guidance from Ro, provided the necessary support.

“I trained at the highest level, maintained a clean diet, pushed myself, and still, after having kids, my body just wouldn’t respond. I realized it wasn’t about willpower; it was biological. My body needed the GLP-1 and clinical support,“ she explained. “I’m partnering with Ro because if I needed help as a top athlete doing everything at level 10, I know others are struggling too, and everyone deserves access to the treatment they need. This isn’t a shortcut. It’s healthcare.”

Continuing the Process

On January 9, Williams updated her followers on TikTok about her ongoing GLP-1 journey, expressing her continued enthusiasm for the process. She mentioned a minor injury that temporarily limited her usual workout routine, but she remains committed to walking and light movement while continuing the medication.
